With the latest wave of snow hitting NYC just days ago, mountain bikers and roadies alike are forced to keep their bikes on lockdown as they watch their favorite trail system or road route hibernate into winter mode. If the snow isn’t enough to keep most people off their bikes, the cold temperatures should do the trick. Freezing hands, cold feet and miserable conditions are just a few good reasons to call off the afternoon ride and hang out indoors.

Rally for the Brooklyn Banks

From Group Home Bikes: Be prepared because this is what the Banks is going to look like this Weekend Especially since our friend Steve Rodriguez from 5 Boro is planning to have a little impromptu rally/gathering at the Banks this Saturday January 23 @ 1PM. Leadville Winner Rebecca Rusch to Appear at Manhattan Showing of Race Across the Sky

This Thursday, 2009 Leadville 100 womens winner Rebecca Rusch will make a live appearance at the Union Square 14 movie theater in New York City for the showing of “Race Across the Sky”. Come meet this endurance racing legend (2 time 24 Hour Solo world champion)  before the movie inside the Union Square 14 theater, or throw back some drinks with her at the official NYCMTB afterparty at Professor Thom’s (2nd Ave between 13th and 14th) from about 9:45pm onward.

“Race Across the Sky” Leadville Race Documentary showing in Manhattan
