Slightly more advanced, this class is a great finale for our Basic Maintenance Series of classes. This class covers bearing adjustments (hubs, bottom brackets and hubs), as well as wheel truing.

Now in its second year, the GWHS Mountain bike club hosted seven riders in a five week skills camp taught by Kathi Krause from Dirt Rock and Root Training. In each of the five two-hour classes, the students learned and practiced a core curriculum of basic mountain bike skills in the demo area, and then applied these new skills out on the trails and pumptracks at Highbridge. The program was funded through a grant from Northern Manhattan Fellowship, and was produced in partnership with Catholic Charities and NYCMTB volunteers.
