On a cool morning in early June, 32 volunteers from Deloitte and NYCMTB gathered at the Highbridge trailhead and pulled together a fantastic demonstration of teamwork to complete some outstanding maintenance projects. BROOKLYN BIKE PARK KICKSTARTER NOW LIVE -PLEASE DONATE!!

It’s On! Tree Planting at Highbridge Sunday December 9th

After a month-long moratorium on volunteer activity in the park following Hurricane Sandy, The New York Restoration Project and NYCMTB are pleased to announce that this weekend we will begin final phase of our large-scale reforestation project by planting the remaining native trees and shrubs in Highbridge Park. Huge volunteer day at Highbridge!!!

What do you get when a group of 50+ Business School Students from Pace, Baruch, and NYU decide to give back to NYC Parks?  Over 150 volunteer hours in a single morning on the trails in Highbridge Park.  Students cleared debris, raked trails, and even worked on a  reroute of a social trail.  Additional details and photos can be found on the trail maintenance forum.  Please make some time to give back to your local trails.  We’ll teach you sustainable trail building and maintenance techniques and you’ll meet fellow volunteers …

HELP!!! Storm damage to towns we visit to ride need our help

Pictures are just starting to come out of some of our favorite towns we visit to ride and they are not good. Plattekill, Windham, and Lake Placid have suffered catastrophic damage and Mtn Creek will be closed until further notice. Meet the IMBA Trail Care Crew Thursday 4/28 EMS Soho 6-9pm

Come out and meet the IMBA Trail Care Crew at EMS Soho on Broadway and Spring Street in Manhattan on Thursday April 28th from 6-9pm. We’ll discuss the invaluable work being done by the Trail Care Crew across the country and how you can get involved with the mountain bike trails in New York City. IMBA Trail Care Crew Visiting Manhattan April 28th – May 1st

We are pleased to announce that NYCMTB has been awarded a grant to host the IMBA Trail Care Crew from April 28th to May 1st. The IMBA Trail Care Crew travels the country teaching sustainable trail building applicable to hiking, biking, and equestrian trails.
