Brooklyn Bike Park
Brooklyn Bike Park has bikes, boards and protective gear for all ages and abilities on site, removing the typical barriers newcomers face in trying these sports in an urban environment. Admission prices are some of the lowest in the country even at the heart of one of the most expensive regions to live in the United Stated States. The low-cost admission and bike rental fees provide a revolutionary and new recreational experience to everyone including low and middle income families who otherwise might never try off-road cycling.
BKBP has been able to successfully keep true to their low-cost mission due to lean, dedicated staffing, a growing body of volunteers, and overwhelming community support that helps keep their operating costs low.
FUN FOR ALL
BKBP’s revolutionary asphalt paved pumptrack was generously financed by VELOSOLUTIONS, and allows for skateboarding, scootering as well as bike riding. Among the first paved tracks in the western hemisphere, the track itself further breaks down barriers between different user groups allowing everyone to flow and ride in harmony -no matter what their skill level.
