|

After years of lobbying and meetings, and a year and a half of actual trail design and construction, the Grand Opening of the Highbridge Park mountain bike trails is nearly here. On May 19th, join us for the official grand opening of New York City's first legal mountain bike trails.
The festival village opens at 10 am, and NYC Parks Commissioner Adrian Benepe will cut the ribbon opening the trails at 11 am. Watch pro riders session the dirt jump park while the television cameras roll. Join in group rides for riders of all abilities. Ride demo bikes from various bike brands. Check out new products from a variety of local bike shops. Enjoy complementary bike service from the master mechanics of Sid's Bikes. Bring the kids to participate in fun events for young people. Sharpen your riding acumen with skills clinics. Buy a raffle ticket to support NYCMTB's trailbuilding in NYC, and get a chance to win great prizes. Enter the amateur jump jam, and compete for the best trick to win a new bike!
All this and more happens May 19 at the Highbridge Park dirt jumps, at the top of Fort George Hill in the Washington Heights/Inwood neighborhood of Manhattan. The closest subway is the 1 train to 191st Street. Plentiful parking is available along Fort George Hill, and along Amsterdam Ave. Follow this link to a google map with the location:

| The festival and ribbon cutting tomorrow is on. Highbridge escaped the rain today, and the trails and jumps are in good shape. See you all tomorrow at 10 AM! |
